- Lightweight and well-balanced for optimal maneuverability.
- Two distinct blade designs (Figure 15 and Figure 16) to accommodate specific surgical needs.
Kirkland Single-Ended Periodontal Knives are valuable instruments for a range of periodontal applications:
- Gingivectomy & Gingivoplasty: These procedures involve reshaping or removing gum tissue to improve aesthetics or address gum disease. Kirkland Knives allow for controlled incisions and precise tissue sculpting for optimal outcomes.
- Frenectomy: This procedure involves removing a frenulum, a small piece of tissue connecting the lip or cheek to the gum. The sharp blades facilitate a clean and precise excision.
- Operculectomy: In some cases, it may be necessary to remove excess gum tissue covering a tooth (operculum). Kirkland Knives enable a controlled approach to this procedure.
- Flap Surgery: Used to make precise incisions around the gingival tissue to create and elevate a mucoperiosteal flap.
