Siegle Ear Speculum - Complete Set and Pneumatic Bulb
Our Siegle Ear Speculum with Pneumatic Bulb is designed for precise and effective otoscopic examinations. This complete set includes three speculum tips (6.5 mm, 7 mm, and 8 mm) and a pneumatic bulb. Invented by Dr. Hermann Siegle in the mid-1860s, it allows clinicians to evaluate eardrum mobility by applying controlled pressure.
- Includes three interchangeable speculum tips (6.5 mm, 7 mm, and 8 mm) for different patient ear sizes.
- The pneumatic bulb allows for controlled air pressure application to assess eardrum movement.
The Siegle Ear Speculum can be used for two types of procedures:
- Otoscopic Examinations: Ideal for assessing the condition of the eardrum and ear canal, particularly useful for diagnosing middle ear infections (otitis media).
- Pneumatic Otoscopy: Utilizes the pneumatic bulb to test the mobility of the tympanic membrane, helping identify fluid in the middle ear.
